Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Forged Blades Module Center (CFB) is seeking a Numerical Control (NC) Programmer to join our programming team.

What You Will DoThe NC Programmer will support programming projects utilizing various machine tools, controls, and programming software. They will plan, create, develop, and implement programs and associated processes, own programs through implementation into production, and provide necessary shop support throughout the development and production cycle.
Qualifications You Must Have- Programming of airfoils, roots, and/or spindles made from various alloys including Inconel, Titanium, and Aluminum.
- Selection of new capital equipment and bringing the new equipment into production.
- Participation in NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
- Collaboration with a strong NC programming team to transform the future of the business with latest-in‑class technology and techniques for processing airfoils.
- Process improvement projects on existing hardware to improve product cost and quality and reduce lead time.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, or related work environment, OR an Associate’s degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, or related work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated experience with graphic programming, part modeling, and program simulation software, including NX and Vericut, and ability to utilize process monitoring software.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (manufacturing/mechanical).
- Experience with rotating hardware, airfoils, and continuous improvement projects.
- Experience with George Fischer’s Turbosoft Plus.
- Understanding and use of optimization software including Vericut Force, Thirdwave, and Cut Pro/Machpro.
and Salary
Employment type:
Onsite. Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
