Job Summary
Highly involved with Operations scoping projects acquiring bids. Writing AFEs/ POs. Overseeing projects from start to finish. Tracking cost.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, coordinate, implement and oversee various levels of construction and maintenance project plans in their entirety and monitor project status and modify when needed to ensure timeliness and quality of projects is consistent with company standards.
Identify and select resources such as inspection, equipment, contractors and material procurement required to coordinate projects.
Direct, monitor and schedule contractors, inspectors and employees in construction and maintenance activities of pipeline construction, processing plants, storage facilities, terminals, gathering and/or transmission systems and appurtenances including, but not limited to: measurement facilities, plant process equipment and controls, pipeline facilities above and below grade purchasing and materials, corrosion control and leakage survey.
Direct and monitor installation and/or maintenance of plant and pipeline equipment and facilities including, but not limited to: meter/regulator settings, tapping/pressure control equipment, storage tanks/scrubbers/dehydrators, pressure tests (air, gas, water).
Evaluate and recommend whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances, ensure contractors’ compliance with safety, quality, competency and performance standards, provide feedback to ensure company standards are being followed.
Provide information, recommendations, consultation and/or assistance to customers, contractors, inspectors, city/county/state officials, employees, management and others relative to company activities, policies and procedures.
Compile, prepare and/or verify information including, but not limited to: operating activities completion reports, accident reports, work orders, various budget recommendations, customer correspondence.
Job duties may include Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Employee must be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions where impaired performance or failure to follow safety precautions could result in serious injury or property damage.

Work ExperienceThis level is typically attained at 1-3 years experience with and knowledge of the construction, maintenance and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances. Preferred experience and training related to: transmission/gathering pipeline operations, pipeline construction, processing plants, storage facilities, company/governmental operating and safety procedures.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of construction industry, maintenance and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances preferred.
- Ability to apply basic math.
- Ability to execute work projects in their entirety for most effective use of resources.
- Ability to research, compose, reconcile and prepare reports, invoices, studies and correspondence applicable to position.
- Ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact, advise and communicate effectively.
- Ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations and correspondence.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
- Ability to assist in routine and/or emergency activities such as construction and maintenance, leakage detection and repair, corrosion control.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment required including computer applications and construction management platforms.

Physical Demands and RequirementsMedium work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demands exceed those for light work.
