Lean Coach

Job Summary

One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Lean Coach to work on a 12-month assignment in their facilities in Midland, TX and/or Carlsbad, NM. Open to candidates from Houston, TX travelling to those locations.

• Ability to work directly with field operations and leadership
• Exposure to breadth of company's capabilities in cross‑functional teams
• Part of broader Upstream Operations Continuous Improvement Community
• Good steppingstone for someone with limited‑to‑no Ops experience to get involved directly in front lines

Engage with all levels of the local field operations organization to embed the principles and structure of the Lean Management Framework, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Project Management (50%)
  • Develop being certified as Lean Coach (Level 3 skill)
  • Lead lean projects to drive continuous improvement across Permian operations
  • Lead larger, more complex end‑to‑end projects that directly link to strategic objectives (ex. Team‑based routing, Dashboarding, etc.)
  • Leverage Company Lean Standard to identify lean projects in support of key business goals
  • Coordinate calculation, tracking and validation of project benefits
• Field Interface (25%)
  • Develop Lean Practitioners
  • Provide Lean Awareness and LP training
  • Coach 2-5 LPs toward certification and completion of lean projects
• Leadership Interface (25%)
  • Provide Leadership Coaching
  • Provide Lean Leader training
  • Coach leadership in principles of Lean including Leaders Standard Work
