Design Solutions and Integration (DSI) is an employee‑owned company that provides automation, electrical, and mechanical services to major energy partners such as Diamondback Energy, Exxon Mobil, Conoco Phillips, and Chevron.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install, operate, and maintain industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, process instrumentation, electrical equipment, and controls.
  • Troubleshoot control equipment, electrical, and instrumentation at production facilities (gathering, disposal, injection, vapor recovery, LACT).
  • Load and configure software changes on Allen Bradley, Schneider, GE, Idec, Automation Direct, Siemens PLCs, and Allen Bradley, GE, Idec, Automation Direct, Siemens, Red Lion, and Maple HMIs.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve instrumentation, control, electrical, network, and communications issues.
Desired Skills & Competencies
  • Basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
  • Computer skills:
    Windows OS, Microsoft Office, VMWare, USB, serial communications.
  • Electrical: AC and DC voltages up to 600 V.
  • Networking: TCP/IP addressing, NAT rules, port forwarding, routing.
  • Mechanical: use of hand tools.
  • Ethernet, Ethernet wireless, RF 900 MHz (Free Wave) communication.
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn; ability to invest personal time to increase knowledge and skill levels.
Technician Skill Levels Level I Technician
  • Electrical (up to 600 V AC/DC): troubleshoot AC single‑phase (HOA, start/stop, remote control circuits), three‑phase power, AC/DC control and power circuits.
  • Instrumentation (level, pressure, temperature, flow): install electrical and tubing.
  • Control systems: assist lead with loop checks as required.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) to fill spreadsheets and forms.
Level II Technician (includes Level I)
  • Electrical (up to 600 V AC/DC): install AC/DC control and power circuits.
  • Instrumentation: configure and troubleshoot level, pressure, temperature, flow instruments.
  • Control systems: lead facility loop checks.
  • Computer skills: utilize VMWare, PLC, and HMI software for troubleshooting.
Level III Technician (includes Level I and II)
  • Electrical (up to 600 V AC/DC): specify AC/DC control and power circuits.
  • Instrumentation: evaluate and specify new and replacement instruments.
  • Control systems: progress tracking, load PLC and HMI programs, configure routers, modems, radios.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) to create spreadsheets and forms, facility startup, tune PID loops, verify controls and shutdowns, modify PLC/HMI programs as required.
Salaries & Schedule

Hourly rate: $35 – $40 per hour.

Schedule:

5 days on, 2 days off.
