Senior Asset Management Consultant

Senior Asset Management Consultant to join the Resilience Water Team, focused on the West region (California, Texas, Arizona). The role requires experience in technical delivery of asset management projects for water, wastewater utilities, or federal agencies managing flood protection assets. Candidates should understand asset management tools and techniques, including frameworks, asset inventories, condition assessments, life‑cycle cost analysis, O&M programs, and capital investment planning.

Preference will be for candidates in Austin, Texas.

The consultant will lead development and implementation of asset management plans and programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop strategic and tactical asset management plans.
• Establish service levels, performance measures, and business process improvements.
• Analyze utilities’ operational processes and decision support systems.
• Provide consulting on asset registers, condition assessments, repair and renewal needs.
• Coordinate analysis of large GIS, maintenance, and condition assessment databases.
• Recommend improvements to operations and maintenance practices, focusing on minimizing life‑cycle costs and enhancing technology integration.
• Support project site visits, client meetings, and conferences (travel may be required).

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent municipal utility experience.
• B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Engineering Technology.
• Ability to lead technical asset management tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional communication skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to build internal and client relationships.
• Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certificate or Diploma and Professional Engineer license.
