Duties will include but are not limited to vertical and horizontal well planning and design, writing AFEs, analyzing drilling performance and costs, evaluating vendor performance, and investigating and applying new technologies to improve drilling performance and cost efficiencies in the development and exploration drilling program. The successful candidate will also work closely and effectively with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory groups, provide up-to-date, detailed performance and cost analysis to Division Management, and provide daily engineering supervisory support and guidance for multiple drilling rig operations and well site supervisors.

• Plan and design vertical and horizontal wells.
• Write AFEs.
• Analyze drilling performance and costs.
• Evaluate vendor performance.
• Investigate and apply new technologies.
• Collaborate with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory groups.
• Provide up-to-date performance and cost analysis to Division Management.
• Offer daily engineering supervisory support and guidance for multiple drilling rig operations and well site supervisors.

• Minimum BS in Engineering with a preference for Petroleum Engineering.
• At least 3 years of drilling engineering experience.
• Significant experience in the drilling design and execution of technical horizontal well bores.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work with field personnel and division staff.
• Strong organization and supervision of field personnel.
• Expertise in a wide range of drilling applications.
• Sound decision‑making ability.
• Strong computer skills.
