Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for therapy service termination.
  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess eligibility for services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings for placement and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance communication skills through classroom activities.
  • Offer professional development to school personnel on communication deficits.
  • Communicate therapy goals and progress with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Create a conducive learning environment suitable for student maturity levels.
  • Coordinate ongoing evaluation of speech‑language pathology services and implement changes as needed.
  • Assist in selecting equipment and instructional materials.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all necessary reports and records.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Texas SLP license and valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
