CAHS is seeking an Aboriginal Health Liaison Officer who will negotiate and liaise with Aboriginal patients, their families, external providers and health professionals within CAHS Community Hubs to strengthen their connection to healthcare. This role also supports the development, planning, and delivery of culturally appropriate, accessible, and high-quality healthcare by providing cultural advice, guidance and knowledge to staff and clinicians to promote culturally safe practices across our services.
Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS comprises four service areas—Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH)—and serves more than 6,500 employees across multiple community clinics.
Other ConditionsWA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
