Someone enrolled in a contracted educational program.

PRN, All Shifts Available

• Under the supervision of faculty or clinical preceptor, the student can perform functions for which he/she has the educational foundation to perform safely.

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and enrolled in a contracted formal educational program.
• Required to complete two (2) hours of hospital provided continuing education hours upon hire and annually for Advanced Sterile Processing Certification. Education will focus on the handling of soiled instrumentation at the point of use and storage of instrumentation for sterile processing department pick-up.

• Requires the ability to read and analyze information.
• Requires the ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from all Hospital’s publics.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual must be able to: stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.

The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
