Job Goal

To support the school's technology needs by assisting with the distribution, collection, basic troubleshooting, and repair coordination of student Chromebooks. Promote teamwork to achieve goals.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Some college preferred.

Performance Responsibilities

General

  • Well-organized, self-motivated, goal oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving.
  • Outgoing, dependable, customer service oriented, attention to detail.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing process.
  • Ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects in a timely manner.
  • Interpret, comprehend and apply policies and procedures related to assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist with the continued enhancement of the management of TPSD by modeling appropriate behavior for and toward students and staff, and by displaying professional conduct at all times.
  • Follow appropriate safety precautions and procedures in work.
  • Perform all duties through to a successful completion.
  • Understanding of need for authority and the chain of command.
  • Transport a variety of items (e.g. equipment, supplies) throughout the school building.
  • Maintain records and inventory of fixed assets.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • The employee will be required to learn and perform any or all skills listed above as deemed necessary by the Director of Technology.
  • Knowledge: TPSD Acceptable Use, Copyright, Licensing, FERPA, Children's Online Privacy Protection, Children's Internet Protection, Teamwork, Communication/Problem Solving.
  • Demonstrate commitment to team, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Work under varying degrees of supervision to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and willingness to share knowledge.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner, using tact, patience, diplomacy.
  • Other Duties:
    Provide on-site support for student Chromebooks, Organize and maintain inventory, Assist with device check-in and check-out, Prepare devices for shipment when repairs are needed, Help ensure smooth day-to-day operation of technology, Provide "help desk" service.
Physical Demands

Employee regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Terms

of Employment

230 days. Salary to be established by the Board.
