Overview
We are seeking an onsite Network/Security Analyst to fulfill duties as part of a 24/7 operational helpdesk environment located on Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana. The guest systems include Microsoft Windows, Linux and vendor appliances. Active Top Secret security clearance is required day one with SCI eligibility.
ResponsibilitiesPerform Tier 1 and 2 trouble analysis in an Enterprise IT environment. Assist engineers in configuring, managing and maintaining applications, network routing and switching to include Linux and Microsoft environments. Use COTs software like Solar Winds, Splunk, MECM, Cisco Call Manager, BMC Foot Prints and JSpace (Juniper). Troubleshoot, repair and configure network devices to include firewalls. Perform system administrator duties to include but not limited to user account management, certificates and group policy.
Maintain and troubleshoot virtual environments using products like Esxi, VMware, VSphere. Configure and troubleshoot type 1 encryption devices. Assist engineers with monthly patch management, LAN/Site installs/decomms, tech refreshes and software upgrades.
- Must have IT experience working in an Enterprise IT environment.
- Must be able to work shift schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP preferred) is required on day 1.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain SCI after start.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows & Server environment to include but not limited to Active Directory, DNS and Group policy, experience with Linux bash, and experience implementing computer security.
- Understanding of basic network engineering fundamentals, including OSI layers, IP addressing, sub-netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
