OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Help Desk/Desktop Support Technician to join a growing IT team in Midland, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of information technology.
The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This role offers exposure to a variety of IT responsibilities and the opportunity to develop alongside an expanding organization.
Responsibilities- Provide Tier I/II help desk and desktop support for end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 and Active Directory user administration.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and equipment setup.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware.
- Document support requests and resolutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a busy user community.
- Assist with additional IT projects as needed.
- Occasional local travel may be required.
- Participate in an on-call rotation in the future as the team grows.
- Previous help desk or desktop support experience, or a recent IT graduate with relevant internship experience.
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Windows desktop operating systems
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative IT team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting a small to mid-sized organization is preferred.
- Spanish language skills are a strong plus.
