Job Summary

Assist with shipping, receiving, and delivery of items from freight companies including processing necessary documents and confirming receipt of such items.

Required Qualifications

* Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes

* Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office

* Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College's insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications Essential Functions

* Receiving and checking in shipments from various freight companies including Fed Ex and UPS

* Delivery of shipments to the correct departments on the College campus

* Safely drive a golf cart

* Must follow safety guidelines and utilize proper lifting and carrying techniques

* Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

* Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time

* The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus

* Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

* Use of manual dexterity

* Capable of climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, and repetitive twisting

* The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information

* Frequently moves boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

* Duties indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
