Safety Technician Dispatcher

Job Summary

The Safety Technician Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking safety personnel and equipment to support oilfield operations. This role serves as the primary communication hub between safety technicians, field supervisors, operations management, and customers to ensure proper safety coverage, regulatory compliance, and efficient response to job requirements and incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch safety technicians to job sites based on operational needs and safety requirements
  • Coordinate safety coverage for completions, workover, and production operations
  • Maintain real-time communication with safety technicians via phone, email and dispatch systems
  • Track technician locations, job status, and hours worked
  • Schedule and confirm safety equipment delivery (H2S monitors, breathing air, gas detection equipment, etc.)
  • Ensure technicians are properly certified and compliant with client and regulatory requirements
  • Respond to emergency calls, incidents, and last-minute coverage requests
  • Accurately document job details, safety reports, and daily dispatch logs
  • Work closely with operations managers, office staff, and clients to adjust schedules as needed
  • Support invoicing, payroll, and reporting related to safety services
  • Promote and uphold company safety policies and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous dispatch experience preferred; oilfield safety or HSE experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of oilfield safety procedures, H2S awareness, and emergency response is an asset
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies
  • Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations
Work Environment
  • Office-based dispatch role with continuous communication via phone
  • Fast-paced, high-pressure environment supporting 24/7 oilfield operations
  • May require extended shifts during peak activity and some On Call
