Position: (USA) Tire and Battery Center Team Leader

Position Summary

As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead you will drive member service in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver safe and efficient services. You will model expertise in Tire and Battery Center and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What You’ll Do

Be a Team Leader:
Supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicate the goals of the department, set guidelines, and expectations for tire and battery service, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and be an advocate for the member, the associate, and the company.

Be an Expert:
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality to ensure the team performs daily processes consistently. Share knowledge and train the team. Ensure the team possesses knowledge of new products and technologies related to the business and that they are equipped with what they need to do their job effectively.

Leverage learning resources and attend training conferences to drive continuous improvement.

Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product applications, and training. Be an early adopter of new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner:
Drive the business results, ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain a neat, clean and safe work area for the team and the members. Ensure proactive planning, order equipment, tools and supplies as needed while being cognizant of expense controls. Track and monitor returns and special orders. Assist in staffing and scheduling. Operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hand‑on in the physical area when required to support member service.

Maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety and compliance standards, complete paperwork logs and other required documentation, and model a commitment to member service.

Be a Talent Ambassador:
Train and teach the team to be highly effective, monitor associates to complete e‑learning and training on time. Identify potential and desire in others, provide and develop necessary skill sets for the team to deliver high quality services. Encourage career growth for all associates and source new talent internally and externally.

Lead, collaborate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Analyze and apply information from multiple sources, monitor progress and results, identify and address improvement opportunities. Demonstrate compliance with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, explain guiding principles, and support the Open Door Policy.
