Job Description

The Field Service Manager (FSM) is responsible for providing and following all safety and operational procedures and for the supervision and coordination of activities of operational personnel on location, including Field engineers, Operations Technical Positions, Service Supervisors, and Field Equipment Operators. The FSM ensures all personnel are engaged in the proper installation, repair, and servicing of equipment and machinery. This position oversees day‑to‑day management of field operations and the related responsibilities of managing a minimum of one frac spread, acting as a liaison between the office, field, and field customers.

People

Management
  • Supervise the day‑to‑day work activities of all field service actions over a minimum of one frac spread and ensure job services, customer requests, and requirements are met according to job specifications.
  • Coordinate the location of job sites, mark the locations of work tanks, and verify adequate room for equipment needed to execute the proposed job design.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling field service crew and equipment for job assignments, establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules, and resolve work problems.
Equipment Management
  • Maintain and monitor proper equipment and inventory to ensure availability when needed.
  • Communicate with all support roles to ensure Preventative Maintenance, Parts Management, and Vendor Management are aware and able to support spread needs.
  • Oversee well‑servicing requirements to ensure work is performed in a safe environment and all safety requirements are met and followed per policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular contact with all vendors to ensure services and third‑party equipment are available for the job.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly operational reports outlining safety, operational, and customer needs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing appropriate procedures and methods for enforcing or interpreting established guidelines and practices, providing management with current job statuses, and improving performance, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Address customer concerns or problems and recommend measures to resolve them, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company and its values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards in all customer interactions.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility in accordance with the company’s travel and entertainment policy.

Job Requirements
  • Work well with others and independently when required.
  • Operate and maintain equipment.
  • Communicate clearly, including reading, writing, and speaking English, and promptly follow verbal and written directions in English while establishing rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Exhibit excellent computer skills, focusing on Microsoft Suite and field software.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and multitask efficiently.
  • Meet physical requirements, including working on your feet, climbing ladders, working outdoors, and lifting.
  • Travel as needed, occasionally to remote locations and/or overnight stays outside normal office areas.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in frac operations or maintenance.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite and field operating systems.
  • Maintain a valid state‑issued driver’s license, be eligible to drive a company vehicle, and meet the company’s vehicle program, policy, and/or guidelines requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Cross Flo Program.
  • Completion of Competency Training including EODP 1‑4, Service Supervisor Bootcamp, and annual refresher training.

The Field Operations Manager must work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties. Following a Safety‑First approach, this position requires working outdoors for long periods in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather.

Working conditions may involve exposure to environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation, and heights.
