Overview

The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing field operations while serving as a key representative of Orion Water Solutions. This position promotes a strong safety culture, ensures compliance with all company and client policies, and provides leadership, coaching, and mentorship to field teams. The Field Supervisor supports job planning, execution, reporting, and performance management while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

  • Supervises Field Leads and Field Technicians
Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in promoting and enforcing the company HSE program and safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and client requirements
  • Act as the primary field contact for clients during active work-in-progress
  • Participate in pre-job scouting, planning, execution, and post-job activities
  • Provide daily job reporting to the Field Superintendent and leadership team
  • Coach and mentor field employees through the competency and development program
  • Support job scoping and planning for RFPs and quoting activities
  • Track personnel and equipment against job estimates, schedules, and budgets
  • Record scope-of-work changes, obtain client approvals, and communicate updates for billing
  • Maintain vendor and stakeholder relationships on behalf of the company
  • Resolve work priority conflicts and personnel issues in the field
  • Drive accountability through one-on-one coaching and performance feedback
  • Conduct and support performance reviews for junior field staff
  • Support crew planning, scheduling, and water resource management functions
  • Ensure compliance with Safe Job Procedures (SJPs) and Job Safety Assessments (JSAs)
  • Foster a positive, ethical, and collaborative work environment
  • Support cost management and alignment with field activity budgets
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in field operations
  • Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Oil and gas service industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Safe Job Procedures (SJPs) and Job Safety Assessments (JSAs)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and advocacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to lead effectively in a team environment
  • High attention to detail and quality of work
  • Adaptable and able to perform in dynamic, fast-changing environments
  • Legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without restrictions
  • Physically capable of working in harsh weather and challenging field conditions
