Job Description

This is a temporary position that is expected to end on 08/31/2027. Temporary employees may be eligible to transfer to a regular status vacant position, contingent upon regular status position availability, tenure, and job performance.

Performs highly complex administrative and supervisory eligibility program work. Supervises a unit of eligibility advisors and/or clerical staff responsible for determining client eligibility for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, and/or Medicaid for Elderly and People with Disabilities (MEPD) programs. Assigns and supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Job requires detailed oriented individuals with the ability to apply complex policies and procedures. This position may require up to 40% of travel.

Essential Job Functions (EJFs)

Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Selects, manages, and develops staff through conferences, mentoring, training, and performance appraisal.

Reads cases and provides policy interpretation.

Prepares management reports, analyzes information to keep management informed, and responds to issues.
