Reports to:

Are you an experienced operations and sales leader who knows how to run a profitable branch, develop a team, and build the kind of customer relationships that drive long-term growth in the Permian Basin?

As Branch Manager at PPV's Midland, TX location, you will direct and supervise the daily operations and staff of one of our key Permian Basin branches, ensuring quality customer service, achievement of sales and productivity goals, and a culture that reflects PPV's reputation for doing the job right. You will collaborate with district and regional leadership, set performance standards, manage branch profitability, and serve as the face of PPV to customers and the community in the Midland market.

What You'll Do

Lead Branch Operations

  • Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations and staff of the Midland branch, ensuring efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations at all times.
  • Collaborate with district and regional leadership to set reasonable sales, retail, and operational goals for the branch.
  • Set and communicate performance standards based on financial, operational, and compliance requirements — including internal, local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Hold full accountability for branch profitability, monitoring financial performance and taking corrective action as needed.

Develop Your Team

  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide guidance, and ensure the team has what they need to succeed.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities within the team; develop and implement plans to address skill gaps and support career growth.
  • Hire and train qualified candidates for branch roles; carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, onboarding, performance management, and addressing employee issues.
  • Set an example for customer service, professionalism, and accountability in every interaction.

Drive Customer Relationships and Growth

  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing clients and actively pursue prospective customers in the Midland and Permian Basin market.
  • Participate in community activities to promote PPV and build goodwill in the local business community.
  • Collaborate with other managers and district leadership on advertising, marketing, and growth initiatives.
  • Support the start-up, development, and growth of new branch locations as needed.
Qualifications What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with proven ability to run a branch operation and hold a team accountable to results.
  • Strong sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills — you lead by example with customers and team members alike.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to set clear expectations and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to prioritize and delegate appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Associate's degree and equivalent industry experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • At least 3 years of branch or operations experience with at least 1 year in an assistant branch manager or supervisory capacity.
  • Background in process valves, flow control, instrumentation, or a related industrial distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with the Permian Basin oil and gas market and its customers.
