Oil Tool Solutions (OTS) is focused on the design, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of advanced cable/capillary protection systems including ESP cross-coupling and motor lead extension guards. HULK USA is expanding its field service offering to include Cable Spooling and CT (Coiled Tubing) Line Spooling services, supporting ESP installation, retrieval, and well intervention operations across our existing customer base.
The Spooling Manager will take ownership for standing up and running HULK's new Spooling service line, responsible for ensuring spooling technicians deliver exceptional, safe, and timely service to customers through the coordination of all spooling-related activities within the Permian Basin. This role will also spend time in the field visiting with customers, reinforcing strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand the Spooling program with key accounts.
The individual in this role must demonstrate a high degree of business ownership, exceptional customer service, and strong communication skills. This is an exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader/manager to build, run, and grow a brand-new operation from the ground up.
- Provides management for spooling technicians who perform cable spooling and CT line spooling services at customer sites
- Leads the stand-up of the Spooling service line, including equipment deployment, technician cross-training, and dispatch integration
- Conducts regular service quality reviews with client(s) to help ensure spooling services provided are effective and meet the requirements of the client(s)
- Manages 3rd party technicians and installers supporting spooling operations as needed
- Makes recommendations to the management team on corrective actions to improve quality of service and efficiency of spooling job delivery
- Collaborates with the Operations and Dispatch teams to schedule qualified spooling personnel, trailers, and equipment to meet all client requirements effectively
- Capable of completing any field spooling service required for effective operations, including hands-on operation of combo and single spooling trailers
- Supports sales efforts related to spooling job planning, execution, and program expansion with anchor accounts
- Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and company and customer policies and standards in performing related assessments, and in making recommendations to the management team relating to maintaining and improving general spooling operations and maintenance programs
- Exercises discretion and good judgment in supervising direct reports. These tasks include but are not limited to interviewing, delegating responsibilities and tasks, performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplining
- Oversees job dispatch and documentation through Ops Flo, consistent with HULK's standard field service operations, including job annotations and close-out photo documentation
- Monitors and reports on Monel band and materials usage per job to ensure accurate billing and inventory tracking
- Any other reasonable duties, deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor
- 5+ years hands-on experience with cable spoiling, coiled tubing operations, wireline, or related well-site equipment strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role with a proven track record in motivating and leading a high-performance team within an industrial, construction, or oilfield services company
- Experience standing up a new operation, service line, or business unit is a strong plus
- A strong network of qualified field service professionals
- Prior experience that demonstrates strong ethics, effective time management, ability to multitask, adaptability, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite, and field operating systems
- Must be able to dispatch to a job site when needed
- Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, and meet the requirements of the Company's vehicle program, policy, and/or guidelines.
CDL preferred but not required.

- Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain
