We are seeking a qualified Measurement & Instrumentation Technician to oversee and maintain measurement systems in a field and processing plant environment. This role involves calibration of tanks, tank cars, and other equipment; tank gauging; gas and liquid measurement; meter proving; and applying temperature and pressure corrections for volumetric measurements. The technician will also provide operability and maintainability expertise for instrumentation and controls systems while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment for gas and liquid systems.
- Perform tank gauging and meter proving activities.
- Apply temperature and pressure corrections for volumetric measurements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot radio communication equipment.
- Participate in or perform measurements using orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis meters.
- Follow AGA Measurement Standards and use Fisher ROC and ABB configurations.
- Conduct hydrocarbon sampling and analyze for operational purposes.
- Complete control charting and apply basic statistical concepts to measurement data.
- Support safety and environmental initiatives, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Ability to set and maintain process controls in field and processing plant environments.
- Experience calibrating, testing, and performing preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
- Skilled in installing, testing, and troubleshooting RTU equipment and transmitters.
- Familiarity with flow transmitters, moisture content analysis, gravity, and CO2 measurement of gas.
- Experience with Fisher ROC and ABB gas measurement equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of WinCCU software preferred.
- Previous experience in operations or a closely related technical role.
- Proficient in calibration of meters (ABB & ROC) for gas and liquid measurement.
- Experience using measurement and operations management systems (e.g., Muddy Boots).
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- No college degree required; hands‑on experience and technical aptitude are the priority.
Pay: $32/per hour
Schedule: 5/2 40 hours
Location: Midland, TX
