Job Title:
Field I&E Technician
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems used in industrial production environments. The position ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The technician will support operations by evaluating system performance, executing maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical and control systems, as well as a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Electrical& Instrumentation Maintenance
- Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems
- Evaluate system performance and develop repair or maintenance plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting equipment performance and reliability
- Support new installations and ensure systems meet required specifications
- Plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance activities in alignment with schedules and operational needs
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all assigned work
- Review work plans and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Support work prioritization across multiple teams and disciplines
- Provide technical support to technicians and operations teams for troubleshooting and maintenance
- Review and contribute to control system specifications and work practices
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment
- Participate in and lead technical discussions or training sessions as needed
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Follow permit-to-work systems and ensure safe execution of all tasks
- Support and participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Ensure installations and modifications comply with applicable standards and procedures
- Document maintenance activities, issues, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of system performance and repairs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and skill development
- Stay current on new technologies, regulations, and best practices
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance
- Experience working in industrial environments (e.g., processing plants or similar facilities)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical and control systems
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and execution processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training in electrical, instrumentation, or related field preferred
- Electrical systems and instrumentation in industrial settings
- Control systems and process instrumentation
- Permit-to-work systems and safety procedures
- Regulatory requirements applicable to industrial operations
- Maintenance management systems and processes
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Familiarity with operations integrity or safety management systems
- Experience supporting or leading installation and commissioning activities
- Strong safety mindset and accountability
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Effective communication and collaboration

Pay: 45-50 Level II, 51-58 Level III

Schedule:
5/2 M-F 40 hours/week with rotational call
