Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector

Location:

Columbus, Georgia – Columbus Forge, 2nd Shift (weekday afternoon through early morning hours).

Support our manufacturing operations by performing quality inspection and data analysis using NDT techniques.

• Implement training and on-the-job education in NDT inspection techniques.
• Utilize Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems for inspections.
• Conduct Ultrasonic inspections, analyze computer-generated data, and sign off product inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of inspection areas and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Read and decipher engineering blueprints and precision measurement devices.
• Work directly with the QP&E team, Material Control Lab, and manufacturing personnel to investigate inspection findings.
• Perform quality reviews of metallurgical dispositions following procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in quality inspection, NDT methods, STEM education, or aerospace manufacturing.
• Previous NDT Class certification or the ability to obtain NDT Level 2 certification within the required timeframe.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• 1+ year of experience in a quality and aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
• Knowledge of Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
