Repairman – Columbus Engine Center (Onsite, 1st Shift)
Join Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Engine Center and help power the future of flight. As a Repairman, you will maintain, repair, assemble, and test turbine engines and components that support commercial and military aviation worldwide. You will work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented aerospace manufacturing environment, performing precision repair operations with specialized tools and technical data while upholding the highest safety, quality, and performance standards.
WhatYou Will Do
- Perform hands‑on repair of turbine engine components and accessories, including drilling, fastener removal, blending, insert installation, and silicone repairs.
- Use hand tools, specialized tooling, fixtures, and approved technical data to support engine assembly, disassembly, repair, and test operations.
- Interpret and follow work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality requirements to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Conduct required self‑inspections and peer inspections to verify compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Support Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD) objectives by maintaining a clean work area and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production schedules and deliver high‑quality products to customers.
- Must Have – High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred – Airframe & Powerplant (A ) license or Powerplant (P) certificate.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges).
- Experience performing engine overhaul, repair, or maintenance in an aerospace, aviation, military, or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
- U.S. citizenship required; U.S. citizens only may access certain systems.
- Position is safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines; subject to drug and alcohol testing and ongoing random testing.
