At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, we are seeking a dedicated quality and manufacturing professional to perform tensile testing and support production processes for aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems.

What You Will Do:
  • Perform tensile testing per standard work
  • Receive in and perform final inspection/measurements of tensile test specimens
  • Review and report tensile data
  • Fabricate thermocouples
  • Perform daily walk‑arounds before testing
  • Receive and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
  • Sort priorities as needed
  • Comply with all training requirements, including Quality procedures, MCL Manuals, and Standard Work
  • Log testing data in UGA as needed
  • Maintain required log books
  • Check and validate testing accuracy
  • Perform six‑s each shift
  • Engage in process optimization to meet production/quality goals while maintaining cost savings
  • Complete all training within the expected time

This is a third shift position.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing production and/or quality
  • Familiarity with micrometer, calipers, microscopes, and other measuring equipment
  • Willingness to work the scheduled shift and, if necessary, train on an alternate shift
  • Availability for overtime as required
  • U.S. citizenship required

We Prefer:

  • One to three years’ experience in a quality or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Technical degree or certification
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
  • Good organizational skills
