Overview
Senior Supervisor, Disk Machining supervises entry- and intermediate-level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. This role manages cell productivity, scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production. The Senior Supervisor will ensure the achievement of business metrics goals for cost, quality, delivery, environmental health and safety, CORE, and employee fulfillment.
Responsibilities- Ensure that all quality-related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
- Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to maintain quality standards.
- Implement CORE and Lean strategies to improve quality, reduce process time, and lower operational costs.
- Ensure all employees adhere to environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Supervise activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
- Manage cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity; identify and resolve process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time, and reduce operational costs.
- Interface with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.
- Coach employees in team development and motivational strategies.
- Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
- Define and implement plans to support the objectives of the business including quality, CORE, employee fulfillment, and financial metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing operations, quality, or closely related field; OR an Associate’s degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing operations, quality, or closely related field.
- In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, machining, quality, or closely related field.
- Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Machining experience.
Role Type:
Onsite – employees work primarily onsite. Salary range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other company‑provided benefits.
