Position: AWW1 Tool Service Team Member

Job Details

Location:

8801/8987 Macon Rd, BLDG MPC, Mid‑land, Georgia, USA.

Role Type:
Onsite (Weekend Day Shift – Friday to Sunday, 7AM–7PM). Shift differential included.

Responsibilities
  • Construct, maintain, repair, and inspect forge and machining tooling.
  • Ensure tooling supports production schedules and meets quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tooling and parts to confirm engineering and process specifications.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain tools and machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with production to meet scheduled tool repairs and modifications.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve tool reliability and reduce interruptions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to satisfy production requirements and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers about progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize tooling performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions.
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality protocols to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
  • Maintain 6S and shop cleanliness standards; perform daily walk‑arounds for preventive maintenance.
Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of related tooling experience.

We Value:

  • Preference for 2+ years post‑secondary technical education in Tool Design or Tool and Die Making.
  • Experience with machining methods, assembly and checking procedures, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with advanced shop mathematics, trigonometry, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Three to four years of experience preferred, or recent technical school graduates.
