Maintenance Planner/Scheduler I
Compensation $35.00/hr Location Midland Schedule 5/2 – 40 hrs/week Target Start Date ASAP Submittal Deadline 7/14/2026 Scope / Overview The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler I is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking routine maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution. The role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, and Contractors to build complete work packages, coordinate resources, and maintain schedule integrity.
This is primarily an office-based planning and data management role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance work.
- Participate in Core Team and Work Team planning meetings.
- Develop complete job plans including: labor requirements, materials, equipment, timelines.
- Build and maintain maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with Operations for equipment readiness, permits, resource availability.
- Work with Procurement and Contracting on material and contractor planning.
- Develop cost estimates and support turnaround planning.
- Track and schedule Field Order Changes (FCOs).
- Identify and manage critical path, sub-critical path, milestones, lead/lag logic.
- Resolve scheduling issues including negative float, resource overloads, scope changes, out-of-sequence updates.
- Support field execution with look-ahead schedules.
- Lead planning meetings and remove execution barriers.
- Maintain schedule accuracy and compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance planning or scheduling experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with scheduling/planning software.
- Strong data entry accuracy.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Quick learner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Maintenance planning experience.
- Measurement experience.
- Muddy Boots software.
- TESTit software (acceptable substitute).
- Microsoft Dynamics data entry.
- ACP Map experience.
Additional Notes
- Office-based position.
- Local candidates only (no per diem).
- Meet & Greet: 30-minute interview (In Person or Zoom).
- Initial assignment through 12/31/2026 with a strong possibility of extension into 2027.
- Bachelor's degree not required.
