Employees who work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance employees.
As a Machining Team member, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines in production processes. You will work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models, and use precision measuring tools to inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances. You will determine and correct complex machine malfunctions, perform routine maintenance and cleaning, assist with numeric controlled programming, and monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Support operations and production by reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to gather tools and supplies.
- Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery.
- Gather, compile, and report production information for analysis.
- Communicate with operators and team members to understand individual requirements.
- Follow established guidance to promote safety and ensure quality; maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on 6S and shop cleanliness standards, including performing daily walk‑arounds for preventive maintenance (PMs).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Capability to perform basic math operations.
- Basic problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements.
- 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in CNC (Computer Numerical Control), Lathes/MCL (Material Control Lab) machines and/or other turning/cutting equipment.
- 6 months manufacturing experience, technical training, military training experience, or completion of Certified Manufacturing Specialist Program.
- 1 year of CNC machine operator experience that includes, but is not limited to, retooling, minor maintenance, changeovers, and first‑article inspection.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Okuma and/or Fanuc controlled 4‑Axis turning lathes.
