Job Summary
Join Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team as a Tool Services Team Member, where you will build, repair, and maintain precision tooling that supports the production of critical aerospace components. This role is located in Macon, GA and works the 2nd Shift (Monday – Thursday, 4:00PM – 2:30AM).
EligibilityOnly U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
What You Will Do- Build, repair, inspect, and maintain precision tooling, gauges, fixtures, and dies used in aerospace manufacturing.
- Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture and repair tooling.
- Troubleshoot tooling performance issues and perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Complete tooling work orders and maintain documentation using SAP while supporting tooling inventory and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in tool and die, toolmaking, CNC or manual machining, precision machining, manufacturing, or maintenance of tooling and fixtures; or completion of a technical program in Tool & Die, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related skilled trade.
- 1+ year of experience in CMM programming, CNC programming, dimensional inspection, quality, or manufacturing support.
- Experience operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience with machine shop math and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with CAD/CAM, Wire EDM, precision grinding, or close‑tolerance gage work.
- Experience using SAP or other manufacturing systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
