Role Summary

The Blender is responsible for carrying out blending operations by obtaining and understanding batch documentation, ensuring correct ingredients are used, pumping and pouring chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities, and monitoring raw material usage for correct weights. This role operates mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, and other equipment safely; transports materials by forklift; maintains, inspects, and cleans equipment and facilities;

completes batch documentation; participates in monthly physical inventory counts; and follows operational procedures and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities Batch Production & Material Mixing
  • Obtain and understand all documentation required for making batches.
  • Ensure correct ingredients are used for each batch and added in predetermined quantities.
  • Pump and pour chemicals into blend tanks according to batch requirements.
  • Monitor raw material usage on each blend to confirm materials are added correctly with correct weights.
Equipment Operation & Material Movement
  • Operate equipment such as mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, and related processing equipment safely.
  • Use forklift equipment to transport materials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Start pumps and agitators and properly move controls of processing equipment.
  • Maintain, inspect, and clean equipment and facilities as required.
Documentation, Inventory & Issue Escalation
  • Complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.
  • Properly handle and report associated paperwork for operational, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Participate in the monthly physical count of onsite inventory of all materials.
  • Refer issues or problems to the supervisor and/or manager.
Safety, Haz Mat, Quality, RCMS & Other Projects
  • Become proficient with required Safety and Haz Mat policies, procedures, and reporting.
  • Follow operational procedures and SOPs.
  • Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK, such as ISO 9001.
  • Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program and promote awareness of Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives, and goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Core Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to understand batch documentation and follow operational procedures and SOPs.
  • Ability to safely handle and mix raw materials and finished materials, including chemicals.
  • Ability to operate mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, agitators, and related processing equipment.
  • Ability to manipulate bags up to 100 pounds, 55-gallon drums of chemicals, totes of chemicals, and drive a forklift.
