The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practices in collaboration with physicians and a surgery team to deliver high‑quality, holistic, evidence‑based anesthesia in pain management. The CRNA cares for patients in a surgical pain management setting.

• Review medical history, evaluate patients, and determine proper methods of anesthesia.
• Accurately measure and monitor the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs to ensure safety.
• Inform the physician if a patient becomes unstable.
• Attend to patient’s needs before, during, and after surgery.
• Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia.
• Support patient safety when performing job functions.
• Report adverse events to appropriate management authority.
• Identify possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicate to appropriate management authority.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Hold a current state license as a registered nurse in Texas and comply with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
• Be currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• Be insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer.
• Hold active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Have 1 year of CRNA experience (preferred).
• Have 1 year of pain management experience (preferred).

• No on call, nights or weekends.
• Day shift only.
• Full‑time.
