Job DescriptionThe Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practices in collaboration with physicians and a surgery team to deliver high‑quality, holistic, evidence‑based anesthesia in pain management. The CRNA cares for patients in a surgical pain management setting.
Job Duties- Review medical history, evaluate patients, and determine proper methods of anesthesia.
- Accurately measure and monitor the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs to ensure safety.
- Inform the physician if a patient becomes unstable.
- Attend to patient’s needs before, during, and after surgery.
- Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia.
- Support patient safety when performing job functions.
- Report adverse events to appropriate management authority.
- Identify possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicate to appropriate management authority.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Hold a current state license as a registered nurse in Texas and comply with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Be currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Be insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer.
- Hold active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Have 1 year of CRNA experience (preferred).
- Have 1 year of pain management experience (preferred).
- No on call, nights or weekends.
- Day shift only.
- Full‑time.
