Position: Full Time RN Operating Room Circulator- Texas Surgical Center

Texas Surgical Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Position Summary

Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse to join our team.

Schedule
  • No call
  • No holidays
  • No weekends
  • Some later evenings required
Position Responsibilities
  • Determine data collection based on the patient’s condition or needs related to the proposed interventions.
  • Address the physiological, psychological, socio‑cultural, and spiritual needs/responses of the patient.
  • Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing job priorities.
  • Maintain a positive can‑do attitude.
  • Ensure work is accurate and complete.
  • Follow AORN standards and demonstrate knowledge of them.
  • Act as a team member.
  • Complete initial and annual competencies as required.
  • Maintain licenses and certifications.
  • Adhere to dress code, attendance, punctuality, meal breaks, and rest periods.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Attend required department meetings.
  • Assume responsibility for continuing education requirements.
Required Skills Education, Training and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas Nursing License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Experience in surgery in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
  • Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions when needed.
  • Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees (teamwork).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation, and receptiveness to change.
  • Possess basic knowledge of performance improvement ideology.
