Position SummaryOperating Room Circulator Registered Nurse to join our team.
Schedule- No call
- No holidays
- No weekends
- Some later evenings required
- Determine data collection based on the patient’s condition or needs related to the proposed interventions.
- Address the physiological, psychological, socio‑cultural, and spiritual needs/responses of the patient.
- Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing job priorities.
- Maintain a positive can‑do attitude.
- Ensure work is accurate and complete.
- Follow AORN standards and demonstrate knowledge of them.
- Act as a team member.
- Complete initial and annual competencies as required.
- Maintain licenses and certifications.
- Adhere to dress code, attendance, punctuality, meal breaks, and rest periods.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Attend required department meetings.
- Assume responsibility for continuing education requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas Nursing License.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Experience in surgery in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
- Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions when needed.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees (teamwork).
- Strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation, and receptiveness to change.
- Possess basic knowledge of performance improvement ideology.
