Previous charge experience required. Patient ratio experience preferred. Charting system experience preferred.
Description:
Start date within the next 4-6 weeks preferred. Will consider a minimum of 13 weeks. RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition. No postpartum care will be provided. Skills required include:
Administration of blood and blood products. Antepartum care. Management of antihypertensives. Performing APGAR score assessments. Assisting with high-risk deliveries. Conducting sterile speculum exams. Facilitating vaginal deliveries. Providing breastfeeding support and lactation assistance. Performing cesarean sections and circulating for C-sections. Drawing venous blood. Administering epidural anesthesia. Managing fetal heart rate patterns. Providing care for postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension. Starting and maintaining IVs.
Performing sterile vaginal exams. Conducting NST (Non-Stress Tests). Using external and internal fetal monitoring. Utilizing infusion pumps and drips. Administering vaccines as needed. Patient demographics include neonates, infants, and adults. Daily census fluctuates with approximately 20 visits per day. A minimum of two patients per nurse ratio is expected on nights and weekends. The expected responsibilities may include weekend shifts and holiday coverage.
