We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to field leadership and operations teams. This role is designed for an experienced HSE professional who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, influence outcomes without direct authority, and support the continued scaling of Conduit’s HSE program in a rapidly growing environment.

This is an advisory-level position with significant responsibility for driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across field operations. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-focused organization and adjusting priorities as the company and its HSE function evolve.

You will:
  • Serve as a trusted HSE advisor to field leadership, providing guidance that drives safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
  • Influence behaviors and decision-making across field teams and contractors through effective communication, credibility, and assertiveness, even without direct authority.
  • Support the development, implementation, and scaling of HSE programs, processes, and standards in alignment with company growth.
  • Identify gaps in field team qualifications, competencies, and training, and partner with leadership to implement targeted development plans.
  • Lead and participate in HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring consistency and alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Proactively drive a zero-incident culture by reinforcing expectations, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in and guide job planning activities (JSA, PTW, Toolbox Talks, risk assessments), ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Develop and deliver field-based training and coaching, reinforcing safe work practices and improving competency across teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Project Teams, and external stakeholders (regulators, landowners, emergency responders) to ensure effective HSE integration.
  • Maintain strong field presence, actively engaging in daily HSE activities, site walkthroughs, and safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE, chemical handling, and SDS requirements across all work sites.
  • Drive high standards for documentation accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all HSE activities, including:
    • Ensuring all training records, incident reports, inspections, and audits are properly documented and maintained.
    • Developing and reinforcing consistent reporting practices across field locations to improve visibility and decision-making.
    • Supporting leadership with data-driven insights and reporting on HSE performance, trends, and risk exposure.
    • Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations, including reporting obligations.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States of America.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in HSE and/or Upstream Oil and Gas or Power Generation, Transmission and Electrical Distribution related fields.
  • A thorough understanding of applicable HSE-related government laws, regulations, and reporting procedures in the U.S.
  • Knowledge of safety, training and environmental concepts, standards, and practices.
  • A thorough knowledge of the techniques of accident investigation and loss control.
  • A working knowledge of the Upstream Oil and Gas, and/or Power Generation, Transmission and Electrical Distribution and related equipment, materials, and technology.
  • Willing to travel to/from field sites (primarily Texas/New Mexico locations)
  • Train-the-trainer certification or experience, preferred.
  • Familiarity with common applications software including Microsoft office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)
