Job Title:

Inspection Advisor II
Role: QA Inspector – Permian BU

Location:

Midland, TX

Schedule:

5/2, 50 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Oversight:
    Promote safety within the area of specialty
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure construction and fabrication meet applicable specifications
Technical Expertise
  • Provide expert guidance to Construction/Maintenance Supervisors and Foremen in inspection and testing for disciplines such as:
    Welding Coating Civil works Piping Pressure vessel and tank fabrication Equipment installation Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Assurance & Support
  • Assist contractors and suppliers in improving quality control and inspection processes, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Review and evaluate contractor and supplier quality documentation for accuracy and completeness
Inspection & Compliance
  • Participate in Mechanical Completion walkdowns, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Final inspection release activities
  • Support punch list closure and inspection validation
Reporting & Documentation
  • Develop and deliver:
    Inspection reports, Quality incident reports, Nonconformance reports (NCRs)
  • Maintain contractor quality records and ensure proper documentation delivery
  • Keep quality and functional supervision informed of significant issues and status updates
Risk Management
  • Identify potential quality issues early and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Skills & Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality and/or Inspection in major oil & gas projects
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (current or previous)
  • Strong ability to work under pressure with professionalism
  • Willingness to travel to field and shop locations
Preferred
  • Coating Inspector certification (ACCP/NACE)
  • Certifications in NDT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT)
