Level II Inspector

Lexson Services is seeking a qualified Level II Iron Recertification Inspector to perform inspection, testing, and recertification of high-pressure oilfield pressure control equipment. The ideal candidate will possess current certifications in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Visual Inspection (VT), and Hydrostatic Testing, and have experience inspecting pressure control equipment in accordance with API, ASME, ASTM, and customer specifications.

The Level IIInspectoris responsible for ensuring all iron and pressure-containing equipment meets industry standards before being returned to service while maintaining accurate inspection documentation and ensuring the highest level of safety and quality.

• Current ASNT Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) certification
• Current ASNT Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification
• Certified or qualified in Visual Inspection (VT)
• Experience performing Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Minimum of 3 years of oilfield pressure control inspection experience preferred

• API 6A pressure control equipment
• Flow iron inspection
• Pressure testing operations
• Equipment teardown and assembly
• Dimensional inspection using precision measuring tools
• Perform visual inspections on pressure control equipment prior to recertification.
• Conduct Magnetic Particle (MT) inspections on pressure-containing components.
• Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections to verify material integrity and wall thickness.
• Perform hydrostatic pressure testing in accordance with applicable procedures and customer specifications.
• Identify defects including cracks, corrosion, erosion, pitting, washouts, mechanical damage, and excessive wear.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results using applicable acceptance criteria.
• Maintain complete inspection records, reports, and equipment traceability documentation.
• Verify serial numbers, equipment identification, and inspection history.
• Ensure all equipment meets API, ASME, ASTM, and customer requirements before recertification.
• Operate hydrostatic test units safely and accurately.
• Maintain calibration records for inspection and testing equipment.
• Assist in teardown, cleaning, repair recommendations, and reassembly of equipment.
• Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment failures immediately.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous training.

• Strong understanding of API 6A pressure control equipment
• Knowledge of oilfield frac iron and flow iron inspection processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and equipment specifications
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to wear required PPE includingFR clothing, hard hat, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required
