Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Midland, TX

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 11 months, with possible extension

Pay Rate: G95 - LTT - $21 G96 - Lab Tech 1 - $23 G97 - Lab Tech 2 - $28.75 on W2, based on experience

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 7/2 – 7/4 rotation | Day & night rotation

Position Overview

The Laboratory Technician supports safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery by performing quality assurance testing, preparing laboratory reports, and providing technical support for additive selection and fluid design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance testing on company products.
  • Support additive selection and fluid design.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Conduct laboratory audits to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions.
  • Perform risk assessments before tasks and identify safety or quality concerns.
  • Participate in customer Service Quality Meetings and improvement initiatives.
  • Follow HSE policies, wear required PPE, and maintain safety training.
  • Ensure all job deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
Top 3 Requirements
  • Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including both day and night rotations.
  • Prior chemical laboratory experience is preferred; trainee candidates may also be considered.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science-related field
Candidate Profile
  • Experienced candidates with Laboratory Technician or chemical laboratory backgrounds.
  • Trainee candidates who are new to the oil field but have the required education and laboratory aptitude.
  • Local Midland/Odessa candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Non-local/rotational candidates may be eligible for company-provided Man Camp accommodation and mileage reimbursement.

1st Round: Phone or Microsoft Teams interview

2nd Round: Onsite interview and site tour, if selected.
