As a Unit Coordinator at Wayzata High School, you’ll be the heart of the kitchen, making sure everything runs smoothly and deliciously. You’ll:

• Oversee daily food production of 3,750 meals per day with a focus on quality and safety.
• Order and manage food and supplies, including high volume of a la carte sales.
• Lead, schedule, and support a dedicated food service team of 31 people.
• Keep accurate records and handle inventory like a pro.
• Jump in on food prep, service, and special school or community events.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and administrators.

• Experience in an institutional kitchen and knowledge of large-scale food production, including ordering. Prior School Nutrition experience a plus!
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in school nutrition or a related field.
• Ability to plan, organize, multitask, and lead with positivity.
• Strong people skills—able to motivate a team and handle challenges gracefully.
• MN Department of Health Certified Food Protection Manager's Certificate (or willingness to earn within 6 months).

• Performing the essential duties for this position requires stamina and strength, including lifting within limits established by the District without mechanical assistance or help from another person.

All new food service employees must passa pre-placement physical that is arranged through the district.
