Assistant Store Manager Sales Footwear&Apparel

DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks an Assistant Store Manager, Sales - Footwear & Apparel to drive results and lead a high-performing sales team. In this role, you'll coach associates, deliver outstanding customer service, and create an engaging shopping experience for athletes. You will oversee merchandising, staffing support, and sales execution for footwear and apparel, using KPIs to guide decisions. Partnering with the Store Manager, you'll support daily operations, uphold safety and loss prevention standards, and help develop teammates in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and sports-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate sales associates in footwear and apparel to meet daily and weekly sales goals
• Deliver excellent customer service by engaging athletes, assessing needs, and recommending products
• Oversee merchandising, signage, and in-store presentation for footwear and apparel departments
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance feedback for store teammates
• Monitor KPIs, analyze sales trends, and execute action plans to drive revenue and margin
• Ensure compliance with company policies, loss prevention, and safety standards
• Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product transfers
• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling
