Job Overview
A Day in the Life of the Account Executive:
The Account Executive is responsible for outside sales to commercial customers, including medium to large business customers of both internet & telephone services. This includes proactively identifying new customer sales opportunities, defining customer needs, preparing proposals, and closing deals.
- Maintain and demonstrate current knowledge of Astound Broadband products, programming and promotional offers.
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Complete all sales transactions, preparing proposals and scheduling installations in alignment with engineering and construction timelines.
- Submit sales claims for unpaid completed sales within the allotted time frame.
- Convey order information politely and efficiently to support personnel, ensuring accurate and timely data entry within 48 hours.
- Operate with a high degree of integrity and project a professional business manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2-4 years of prior experience managing business accounts in a sales or customer service environment.
- 1-2 years of practical, hands‑on experience canvassing or cold‑calling small and medium‑sized business customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work within Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent detail‑orientation and follow‑through skills.
- Strong discretionary skills in handling confidential information.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Conditions &Physical Requirements
- Frequent to extensive local travel; ability to drive continuously.
- Frequent walking, bending and reaching; occasional exposure to inclement weather and uneven surfaces, hills, stairs or heights.
- Occasional use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Flexibility to work within non‑standard business hours ranging between 8a.m. and 9p.m., all 7 days per week, to ensure sales quota is met.

Starting at 80 hours per year, increased based on tenure. - Floating holiday: 40 hours per year.

Base salary: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission. Targeted commissions at full attainment are $21,000.
