Vaccines Specialist, Health and Science Professional - Midland, TX

We’re in relentless pursuit of breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. Pfizer is seeking a Vaccines Health and Science Professional (HSP) to promote a vaccine portfolio across customers and channels, engaging customers both in‑field and virtually.

As a key account and territory manager, the HSP will launch new products, secure formulary access, and develop relationships with customers, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The role requires strong sales, strategic business development, and account management skills, along with exceptional communication and digital engagement capabilities.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive sales in the assigned territory to meet approved business objectives.
  • Engage customers both face‑to‑face and virtually.
  • Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans, identifying and executing live/virtual engagement strategies to maximize impact.
  • Build rapport and maintain relationships with customers in both live and virtual settings, leveraging digital tools for effective engagement.
  • Use internal reports and analytics to identify and pursue strategic business opportunities.
  • Apply product and disease‑state knowledge using approved clinical information and patient resources.
  • Demonstrate market knowledge, identifying barriers and drivers across all business channels (Public Health, Private Market, Retail, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues, including Field Medical and Account Management, to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
  • Complete all administrative expectations on time and compliantly (e.g., entering customer calls, submitting expenses, responding to requests from sales leadership, managers, and internal partners).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following or an associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience:
    • Professional sales or promotional activity
    • Small business ownership or other entrepreneurial experience, marketing, customer service, and/or account management
    • Relevant healthcare/scientific roles (e.g., RN, pharmacist, PT, OT)
    • Educator (e.g., teacher, principal)
    • Full‑time military experience
  • Must live within 25 miles of the territory border.
  • Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record under company standards. A DUI/DWI or other impaired‑driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies the candidate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 1 year of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical sales, and/or medical‑related marketing experience.
  • Strong track record in sales or marketing, territory management, communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Experience with the vaccines therapeutic area and products.
  • Knowledge of posted territory customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Reside within the territory boundaries.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $76,000 to $199,600. During initial new‑hire sales training, you will be classified as a salary non‑exempt employee, entitling you to overtime pay. Following training certification, you will become an overtime‑exempt employee.

Additional quarterly sales incentive bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered, including a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, retirement savings contribution, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental leave, medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Benefits may vary by location. Relocation assistance may be available on a case‑by‑case basis.

All employees are required to be authorized to work in the United States. U.S. work‑visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.
