Global Compression Services LLC is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support customers in the Mining, Quarrying, and Oil & Gas Extraction sector. In this role, you will sell parts, services, and overhaul solutions for natural gas compression equipment, combining strong technical aptitude with customer-focused selling. You'll visit field and plant sites, assess needs, and coordinate with service and shop teams to deliver safe, reliable solutions.
This position offers hands-on exposure to compression systems, robust safety and technical training, and opportunities to grow your career in critical energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with customers in the natural gas compression and midstream market
- Understand customer technical needs and recommend appropriate compression parts, services, and overhaul solutions
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and equipment/service specifications in coordination with technical and field teams
- Conduct site visits to customer facilities, ensuring safe work practices and accurate technical assessments
- Collaborate with field service, shop, and engineering teams to scope, schedule, and deliver projects
- Provide basic technical support, product demonstrations, and troubleshooting guidance to customers
- Track opportunities, pipeline, and customer activities in CRM or sales systems
- Meet or exceed sales targets, margin goals, and territory growth objectives
- Represent Global Compression Services at industry meetings, customer reviews, and occasional trade events
- Collect market feedback on competitors, pricing, and emerging customer needs to inform sales strategy
