As an Electrical Supervisor
, you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.
- Lead your team in safety, complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures.
- Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment.
- Travel to various vendor locations for audits and meetings, especially during the design and construction phase.
- Review, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc.
- Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day tasks such as inspections, PMs, troubleshooting, reporting, etc.
- Review and approve time sheets, vacation requests, POs, and invoices.
- Attend training and certification courses required by the company.
- Develop, maintain, and report on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX.
- Engage with third-party vendors for quotes and lead times.
- Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment.
- In conjunction with senior supervision, plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions.
- Interact with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Resolve direct report issues (e.g., productivity, safety, quality, work interfaces, rework) as required.
- Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network as necessary.
- Assess work completion and create punch lists.
- Advise senior level supervision of potential problems and assist in resolving them as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience.
- Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical roles.
- Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit, and climb or balance.
- Lift and/or move up to ten pounds regularly, up to fifty pounds frequently, and more than one hundred pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Capable of working Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- Room and board provided at or near the location of the job.
- Must be able to tolerate working conditions with no air conditioning or heat.
