Field Service Technician

SUMMARY

The Field Service Technician will provide field service and engineering support for rig monitoring systems that requires frequent travel to field offices and customer locations. The Field Service Technician is responsible for assisting implementing technological enhancements and solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support, maintain, and service rig monitoring data systems and technology packages
• Install, commission, calibrate, and repair electronic components at rig sites
• Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner
• Collaborate closely with customer field representatives to effectively execute well site operations
• Provide field technical support
• Assist with development and implementation of new product offerings, i.e., gathering information, field implementation strategies, etc.
• Initiate trouble shooting, report issues in a timely manner, and partake in devising a solution
• Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems
• Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train field operations on how to properly operate the system
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism and work with honesty and integrity, maintaining customer service
• Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Ability to travel as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must pass a national background check and a motor vehicle report
• High School Degree and/or equivalent education with 5+ years’ experience preferred
• General knowledge of oilfield operations or experience in field service is a plus
• Bi-lingual preferred but not required
• Collaborate closely with field representatives to effectively execute operations
• Provide field technical support to field operational on Ranger products
• Assist with development and implementation of new product offerings, i.e., gathering information, field implementation strategies, etc.
• Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems
• Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train filed operations on how to properly operate the system
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism and work with honesty and integrity, maintaining customer service
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Collaboration, teamwork, strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Understanding and adherence to company specific and industry safety procedures

COMPUTER

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel;
  Power
  
  BI a plus
• Information Technology, data science or software development a plus
