CDL Crane Rigger; Midland, TX

Sterling Crane LLC, a division of Marmon Holdings (Berkshire Hathaway), seeks CDL Crane Riggers for its Midland, TX branch. The Rigger will work closely with the crane operator and the operations manager to haul heavy equipment and assist in building and operating mobile cranes.

• Inspect all rigging equipment and ensure it meets safety and capacity requirements.
• Haul heavy materials and equipment to job sites.
• Signal crane operator during lifts to provide directional or placement instructions.
• Climb structures with a safety harness to guide, position, and secure loads.
• Verify rigging is safe and reliable before hoisting and lifting operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified crane rigger (NCCER or NCCCO).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Successful completion of drug and physical screening, with a satisfactory background/MVR.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong customer‑service skills for interaction with onsite project managers.
• Proficiency in math for weights and measurements.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to address safety issues.
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures.

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift frequently.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects and materials.
