Job Summary

The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.

Job Responsibilities

* Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician.

* Demonstrate these skills and processes as on-the-job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks.

* Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects.

* Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects.

* Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area.

* Properly utilize the required tools and equipment for each specific task.

Required:

* Have between 2-4 years  OJT hours) of electrical work experience

* Strong understanding of the importance of quality work

* Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

* Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency

Work Environment:

* Outdoor construction setting with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, uneven terrain, and other environmental factors.
