Job Overview

Position:
Pump and Power Road Technician II (Road Technician – Pump and Power Road)

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a qualified technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, generators, HVAC systems, and more. The role may involve training additional team members in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment for pumps, generators, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration, and more.
• Perform advanced/complex repairs on all types of equipment and scope customer needs to provide solutions.
• Lead and train other team members in equipment repair as needed.
• Conduct load bank, dehumidification, and other specialized equipment testing.
• Maintain equipment logs, safety compliance, and documentation.
• Work both indoors and outdoors, lifting 25 lbs or more as required.

• 5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT Physical Examination (Medical card).
• EPA Section 608 universal Certification required.
• EPA refrigeration certification (certified).
• Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment, generators, HVAC, air compressors, and refrigeration.
• Mastery of load bank repairs, electrical engines & controllers, dehumidification equipment, VFDs, VSDs, soft starts and across-the-line motor starting.
• Factory diesel, generator, compressor, HVAC training preferred.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 25 lbs or more.

The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching and lifting 25lb or more. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors as required.

Base Pay Range: $29.77–$42.80 per hour; starting rate may vary based on factors including position, location, education, training, and experience.
