Pipefitter Helper – Stanton, TX

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX, specializing in natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical projects. OPD is part of the larger Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) organization.

• Assist pipe fitters with setting, assembling, and installing pipe.
• Prepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and rigging.
• Operate tools and equipment including beveling machines, cut‑off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, welding machines, and Saw‑Zall.
• Mark bending and cutting lines of metal and clean work areas.
• Work safely and accurately to avoid rework and errors.

• Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
• Recognize safety hazards and risks.
• Participate in onsite safety meetings.
• Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
• Be on time, ready to work, and maintain a positive attitude.

• Capable of working outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and high elevations.
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 60 lbs.
• Standing up to 12 hours per day.
• Performing climbing, lifting, balancing, and reaching activities on elevated platforms.
• Wearing a full‑body harness and lanyard when required.

• 6+ months of experience working in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, and different metals.
• Past exposure to pipe fitting tools and equipment.

• Travel, including extended periods in remote areas.
• Availability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Willingness to attend mandatory safety meetings.

• 6+ months experience as a pipefitter helper.
• Experience reading ISO’s and drawings.
• Experience in a gas plant construction environment.
