I&E Technicians at Diamondback Energy are responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and automation equipment in the oilfield. This role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both instrumentation and electrical systems, and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year of I&E experience and 3 years of oilfield experience
• Knowledge in SCADA network architecture
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes (NEC)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability standards
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Ability to read P&IDs and loop diagrams
• Minor PLC programming skills
• Ability to coordinate with management, contractors, and utilities
• Attendance at required safety meetings and ability to write JSAs

• Self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic knowledge of programming
• State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
• PLC programming experience
